Details
- Winter Commencement is on Friday, December 20, 2024 at IU Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. and Noon.
- While all IU Bloomington faculty members are heartily welcomed to attend Winter Commencement, it is especially important for the research chairs of doctoral candidates to attend in order to hood their graduates.
- Faculty must arrive at the graduate lineup area by 8:15 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. ceremony and 11:15 p.m. for the Noon ceremony.
- Faculty who are hooding a Ph.D. or doctoral candidate should meet the graduate inside the Ruth N. Halls Theatre. You will walk in the procession and be seated together during the ceremony. If you are unable to attend Commencement, our team will appoint a faculty member who is in attendance to hood your graduate.
- Complimentary parking and shuttle service to and from the Auditorium is offered in either Henderson and Poplars garages. Shuttles will be looping from 6:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to both garages from IU Auditorium. Complimentary parking is also available in the East Garage. Those nearby are encouraged to walk.
- Accessible parking for those with ADA hangtags or license plates is available next to the IU Auditorium in Lot #366 off Seventh Street. Drivers may drop off those who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility near the entrance of IU Auditorium.
- Please remember to wear your academic apparel. Apparel will be provided, and it will be easy (and free) to return to Herff Jones after the ceremony. See more information here about apparel orders and returns. The apparel order deadline for the 2024 Winter Commencement is Monday, November 25.
- Personal items such as bags, umbrellas, and briefcases cannot be stored, so please leave them in your vehicle.

- Faculty must arrive at Wilkinson Hall by 2:00 p.m.
- While all IU Bloomington faculty members are heartily welcome to attend Graduate Commencement, it is especially important for the research chairs of doctoral candidates to attend to hood their graduates.
- Faculty who are hooding a Ph.D. or doctoral candidate should meet the graduate in Wilkinson Hall. You will walk in the procession and be seated together during the ceremony. If you cannot attend Commencement, our team will appoint a faculty member who is in attendance to hood your graduate.
- Faculty members who will not be hooding a doctoral candidate are still encouraged to attend. You should also meet in Wilkinson Hall and help lead graduates from your school in the processional.
- Complimentary parking is available for faculty near Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
- Please remember to wear your academic apparel. The apparel will be provided free of charge, and it will be easy (and free) to mail the apparel back to Herff Jones after the ceremony.

Details
- Undergraduate Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.
- Faculty should enter the east side of Memorial Stadium at Gate E-3 by 7:00 p.m. The faculty robing room is located inside the Shuel Academic Center on the field level (use the elevator or stairs).
- Undergraduate Commencement is an outdoor ceremony that is held rain or shine unless there is severe weather, in which case you will be informed of a contingency plan.
- All IU Bloomington faculty members are heartily welcome to attend Undergraduate Commencement.
- Complimentary parking is available for facultynear Memorial Stadium.
- Please remember to wear your academic apparel. The apparel will be provided free of charge, and it will be easy (and free) to mail the apparel back to Herff Jones after the ceremony.
