Schools, departments, and programs often celebrate with a smaller, more focused celebration. Each event is unique, but often graduates are recognized individually, having their name read as they walk across a stage or platform. These events are a wonderful complement to the Commencement event and are often held just before or after the main winter or spring ceremony.
Each school, department, or program organizes its event and will issue invitations. There are over 100 special events held over Commencement weekend! All Indiana University events welcome all members of the IU community.
